¿Sabías que bostezar podría servir para enfriar la cabeza?

Más que sólo indicación de fatiga y aburrimiento, o señal de empatía, bostezar podría ser un mecanismo para enfriar la cabeza, según un estudio dirigido por Andrew Gallup, de la Universidad de Princeton.

Gallup y Eldakar Omar, de la Universidad de Arizona, encontraron que la frecuencia de bostezos varía con la estación del año. Las personas bostezan menos cuando el calor al aire libre es mayor que la temperatura corporal, lo que podría deberse a que el bostezo serviría como un método para que el cerebro regule su temperatura.

A study was realized in the University of Hiroshima, in Japan, in which 3 groups of students took part. Later they had to realize a series of exercises to measure his degree of concentration.

RESULTS: Food photos: Scarcely it had effect in them. Photos of animals in adult age: His concentration improved 5 % Photos of little animals newborn children: The double of concentration with relation to the second group since they improved 10 %.
